Unplug 'n Play Week

Starting tomorrow, our school is participating in Unplug 'n Play Week. Kids are encouraged to unplug from their video games, TVs, and computers and do something active. They get to fill out a chart and receive rewards depending on their level of participation. I am excited to get my family to participate. Our main focus is going to be on the television (we're lucky the kids aren't interested in video games yet!) So my hope this week is for less Spongebob and more Monopoly after homework and lessons are done! Wish us luck!

What a great idea! I will have to see if the schools here in Casper would do something like that. Did you happen to see Oprah last week on conserving energy, etc. They had a contest with two different families. It was mainly about conserving energy, etc, but the TV, video games, etc. was part of all that. Great ideas!! :) Let us know how it goes.

Wish we could make a better habit of that all the way around! I love the days when we cut out the "noise" and put puzzles together :)
